Having studied Communications and Media at both Marymount Manhattan College and now completing his degree at the CUNY School of Professional Studies…Michel has a passion for organizational development, writing, and business management, which will later lead to his ultimate dream of dreams. Michel is a first generation born, Haitian-American, hailing from North Miami Beach, Florida. Michel grew up in the backdrop of the genesis of “New South Beach,” the Art District, and the real-life challenges of the “305,” Miami/Dade County lifestyle of the 1990s. During the late 1990s, he left Miami and became a man in the hustle and bustle lifestyle of New York, New York. He worked 7 years in the financial industry (Morgan Stanley Dean Witter & Northern Trust Bank of New York) and is a survivor of the 9/11 attacks of the World Trade Center.
After surviving the 9/11 attacks, Michel returned to Florida and tapped into his heritage to make a life for himself & his family. He took the teachings of his mother (a Cordon Bleu Chef) and operated his own catering company for 9 years. Now a bona fide chef, Michel realized that his love and passion for writing and professional development was calling once again. In one decisive moment… it all came to him! He would create a media company which combines the three elements which spoke to him the most: Artistry, Talent, & Culture… Convergence Media Group Inc. was born. CMG is founded on the premise that we are all artists in our own right; we will showcase the raw talent of our actual lives, the streets we grew up on and the cultural undertones which make us who we are!
